These paper straw arrows are a cute and easy way to make your Valentine’s day more fun!
Paper straws are so popular right now and I’m sure most of you have quite the paper straw stash…present company included. Instead of hoarding them for parties, I decided to get a little crafty with them by creating these paper straw arrows for Valentine’s Day and then I have a little decor idea for you using your arrows.
DIY Paper Straw Arrows
Materials:
- Arrows & Hearts printable
- Paper straws
- Scissors
- Glue
The printable has templates to make full straw length arrows and smaller half straw arrows.
To make your paper straw arrows, follow the steps below:
Now that you have your paper straws made, why not make a cute Valentine mobile!
Paper Straw Arrows Mobile
Using the heart template in the printable, make 3D hearts to add to your mobile.
Tips & Tricks for making your mobile:
- Lay everything out before cutting your twine and assembling.
- Assemble hearts around the twine so they won’t slide.
- Using a paper piercer worked best for poking holes through the straws.
- To keep arrows in place, tie a knot where you want the arrows to be and then thread the arrow.
More Ideas:
- Attach straws to a bag of goodies to give to your valentine.
- Leave off the arrow heads and use them as coffee or hot chocolate stirrers
- Hang a flag banner sign from a full straw length arrow.
