Well, it’s been a month since I posted my goals for 2017 so I thought I’d give an update. I may do these every month as I think it might actually keep me focused.
I admit, I’ve gotten a little sidetracked because since that post, we have had 3 family members pass away (they say they come in three’s but sheesh, did they all have to be within a month?!) and then the girls were on Spring Break last week. We had lots of fun but ended it with the 3rd funeral (and hopefully the last for quite a while).
Ok, let’s get right to it, shall we?
Financial Peace
With our tax refund we managed to pay off our credit cards! Woot!! Hubby also has a bonus coming that will complete our emergency fund and the rest we will be putting toward our vacation this summer. Now that the credit cards are paid off, our next goal is to pay off my car.
Church
We have visited a couple of Sunday school classes and I think we found one that we like and are most comfortable (this is saying A LOT considering hubby and I are both extreme introverts).
Home
Organization: in their new locationI managed to get the girls craft supplies organized and I just recently organized their bathroom cabinets. Their bathroom cabinets have bothered me for months. Finally, one night while they were taking a bath, I just pulled everything out and got it done. It feels good to be knocking off these organization projects.
Cleaning routine: Bahahahaha!
DIY Projects: Nothing accomplished in this category just yet. However, I have been gathering ideas for our landscaping so with the weather getting warmer, I’ll probably start tackling the outside within the next month starting with some outdoor Spring cleaning. Also, now that Spring is here, it’s time to make sure our storm shelter and go bags are ready.
Blogging
I’m not doing so hot on my posting once per week goal. With the first death in our family for this year, I sort of lost all inspiration and motivation to do or write about anything. Hopefully, with this post, I’ll be back at it and will have some good posts for you soon!
Embellish*ology Designs
I have a couple of projects in the works but have yet to complete them. I did, however, add three new printable invitations. There’s a new dinosaur invite, a garage themed invite that would be cute for a little boy (or even a big boy) birthday, and a BBQ invite.
