A spin on a Disney Classic, this Alice in Wonderland inspired first birthday party was a big hit! We went all out for this party. Go big or go home, right?
Alice in Wonderland Inspired First Birthday
The atmosphere for the party was set as soon as guests drove up as they were directed where to party and which direction to go to join the party. Guests had to venture down the rabbit hole before entering Tulgey Wood Forest where they then had to navigate through to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. After the party, the guests were sent to The Queen’s Court in order to leave Wonderland.
Down the rabbit hole!
Since we live on an acreage, we had people park toward the back of our house and then they were directed by signs on where to go next.
Our front porch was transformed into the rabbit hole where all the decor was topsy turvy and upside down.
Welcome to Tulgey Wood Forest
Once guests walked into the house they walked right into Tulgey Wood Forest. The forest started out with just lamps covered in green tissue pom poms, decorative mushrooms and tissue paper flowers. Then things exploded (that happens when you have 2 creative people living under one roof) and we ended up with live branches cut from trees on our property!
The party guests had lots of fun discovering things hidden in the forest like the Cheshire cat peeking down from one of the trees.
Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party was where the food was served and where the birthday girls blew out their candles.
The Queen’s Court
The Queen’s court was in the backyard. There was a tent and tables for anyone who wanted to eat outside and we had croquet set up with flamingo mallets and hedgehogs for balls.
Little Alice’s
I think the little Alices had a blast. They were spoiled to the max with all the presents they received and they both loved their smash cakes.
