A simple way to add a little Farmhouse glam to your kitchen.
It all started with the age old question, “What’s for dinner?”
I’ve been meal planning for a few years now but I never really displayed it for the family to see.
After a few months in the house, I decided on the perfect place to display the weekly menu.
As long as I fill in the menu, I no longer get asked what’s for dinner. It’s kind of nice….it takes away the stress of dinner time….the planning and the questions.
We keep meals simple and now mostly healthy*ish in this house.
The apron came when I started noticing holes in my t-shirts. Every day, I’d look down and notice holes on my t-shirts right around the waistband of my jeans. I just thought it was the jeans. But then I noticed holes appearing in my t-shirts when I was wearing pants other than jeans….still, right around the waistband.
It occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, me being in the kitchen and leaning against the granite counter tops when I was cooking might be doing it. The counter tops hit me right in that same spot. After googling my issue, I found some who believed it was indeed the granite.
So I got an apron…….
No more holes in my t-shirts. Problem solved.
When I got the apron, I needed a place to keep it. I needed an apron hook.
It hung on a cabinet knob in my laundry room before I figured it out.
I went out to our barn digging for something I could use. I knew there had to be something out there. We have several tornado damaged things from our previous home that just needed some love.
I really love the farmhouse look but I also love clean lines and bling. Little did I know there was a style known as Farmhouse glam. I needed something with bling.
If found the perfect item to use for my apron hook. It was all black and much too traditional for the house. Nothing a little paint couldn’t fix.
A little bit of farmhouse and a little bit of glam.
Perfection.
No more apron hanging on the cabinet knobs. I now have an apron hook.
Now I need some really cute little girl aprons to hang on the other two hooks.
