Happy New Year! (a week late)
We had a doozy of an ending to 2016 that included lots of illness in our house. Then once we thought we were going to get back into our normal routine after Christmas break, we got a snow day….just two days later. And I don’t even want to discuss the ice storm in the forecast for this coming weekend. Darn you winter!
I have a few posts lined up for this month (and am a week behind on posting) but I wanted to look back at some of the Reader favorite posts of 2016….and a few of my favorites as well.
Reader Favorites
Music inspired gallery wall
This was my first ever gallery wall. It was inspired by a piano we inherited and my love of old hymns.
Kitchen Cabinet Upgrades
Who doesn’t love an organized kitchen. Before we began rebuilding our house, I scoured the internet for ideas to make our kitchen more efficient. I shared my must have kitchen upgrades in this post.
Cube Shelf Hack
This was one of my favorite diy posts. My Cube Shelf Hack was a quick and easy project that made a huge difference in the look of the room.
Fixer Upper Inspired Wall Decor
Calling all Fixer Upper fans! Inspired by a couple of episodes of Fixer Upper, I created what has turned out to be my most favorite feature in our family room!
Rustic Gallery Wall Inspiration
I needed something for the wall behind our breakfast table in our kitchen so I came up with this inspiration board. I still haven’t posted the final reveal (although if you follow me in Instagram, you may have seen several sneak peeks last year) because I have one more project to do before it’s complete but it’s coming soon, I promise! To this day it is still my most pinned post.
A few of my favorites…
These posts, for some reason or another, didn’t get quite as much attention as the posts above but are some of my favorite posts.
Girls Shared Bedroom
This room has changed a bit….and will be changing a little more this year but this “first draft” of my girls bedroom still makes me smile when I see it.
Kitchen Tour
My most favorite room…and by far the biggest transformation in our house. Our kitchen is literally and figuratively the center of our home and we have already made so many memories in the short 3 years we’ve been back in our house.
Farmhouse Style Playhouse
This project was by far the biggest and most intense projects we took on in 2016. Definitely a labor of love for our girls.
