I have been completely heartbroken over all of the devastation from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Being a victim of a natural disaster (twice), I have wanted nothing more than to drop everything and go help but I’m in a season of life where this is not possible. Because of this, I have come up with the only way I know how to help. From now until October 31st, FIFTY PERCENT (50%) of all proceeds from the sale of these prints (in my Etsy shop) will be donated to Hurricane relief efforts.
Recovery will take months if not years so let’s not forget about them. Everyone is so quick to give right when it happens but the funds can, and will, run dry. Let’s not forget about those victims….many without flood insurance.
My plan is to donate the proceeds to Samaritan’s purse, an organization close to my heart. Samaritan’s purse helped us tremendously after the loss of our home after an EF5 tornado in 2013. They helped us clean up and demo our home. They did not leave until we were well on our way to rebuilding.
When Hurricane Harvey and then Irma were forecasted to hit the U.S., Samaritan’s Purse was already in position to go in. That’s how great this organization is. What they can do for victims is absolutely instrumental in their recovery.
All states are available as well as a print of the USA. You can also choose from a rustic ‘shiplap’ background or a black and white watercolor background. They come in a pdf format and print as an 8×10 print.
These prints are only available in my Etsy shop.
Accountability: I understand the hesitation when people say they are going to donate. In order to have some accountability, when I have proceeds to donate, I will be sure to post when and how much I donate here on the blog as well as on my Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Thank you in advance for your support. Now let’s do this! Go buy your print HERE.
