I am currently working on my Fall porch. A very low budget Fall porch.
When I finally thought I was finished, I noticed the front door was bare. I needed to remedy that but had no funds to go out and buy a big fancy wreath. Stupid spending freeze! So I raided my craft room.
I found a wire wreath form and some pieces of burlap ribbon thinking surely I had enough to make a burlap wreath. Nope, I got almost half way around and ran out of the burlap ribbon.
Ok, so back to square one.
Then I found a small grapevine wreath. So, grapevine wreath and burlap ribbon.
What to do, what to do…..
I started by making a bow out of the burlap ribbon but it needed some color and all my fall floral stems had been used in other decor.
But wait! Peeking out of the crafting clutter on my craft counter were some leaves I had purchased for another project. Score!
I got out my magical pink glue gun and began gluing on my finds and voila!
I love it when everything works out….even if I had to take a couple of detours to get there.
The best part? It was FREE! You can’t beat free decor. Am I right?
Hopefully next year I’ll have a bigger, nicer wreath but for now, this one will do just fine.
Fall porch tour coming soon!
