Since I am still re-building my fall decor, I decided to forgo a fall home tour this year and instead, share bits of what I have collected so far. Today I am sharing the fall centerpiece I put together for my formal dining room.
The idea of this centerpiece began with my relentless urge to chalk paint some pumpkins. After a trip to Hobby Lobby during a 40% sale, I made it home with some pumpkins and paint and got to work.
I had already been using the silver tray and some filler. So after playing around with the placement of the pumpkins, I took out the filler pieces that weren’t very fall like and added some filler I had of acorns and pine cones. Then I added in some single leaves that I purchased from the Dollar Tree. But it still didn’t seem quite finished.
It sat like that for several days.
Finally, I decided it needed some height so I took my navy candles and fit them in the tray. Then I added come candles & candle holders around the perimeter of the centerpiece. Yet it still needed something.
I took another trip to Dollar Tree found some small fall leaf floral stems and then added them to the centerpiece by simply tucking the stems under the silver tray.
It’s just a simple centerpiece but I love how it turned out given the fact that I did it on a very, very tight budget.
